Are you excited by electricity or would like an insight into the power industry and explore the major producer of the State's electricity? A guided tour will inform you about the industry as well as give you the opportunity to experience the vastness of the open cut mine and the exciting technology of the power station. The centre also offers educational and interactive displays to excite all ages. Enclosed footwear required on tours. Cameras permitted on some tours.
Directions: From Melbourne: Travel east along the M1 Princes Freeway travelling past the towns of Warragul and Moe. Turn off at the second Morwell exit. Turn left onto Commercial Road and travel straight through the town passing the Latrobe Regional Gallery on the left and the modern and bright Latrobe City Council office on the left. Turn left at the big roundabout and you will see the "big dredger" at the front which will indicate your arrival at PowerWorks. Turn right and proceed up the hill, where you will find the PowerWorks centre.
From Traralgon: Travel west from Traralgon CBD passing the Traralgon Golf Course. Follow the signs towards Melbourne and travel along the M1 Princes freeway.
Our Opening Hours are Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. Tours depart 11am on Tuesday & Thursday ONLY with a minimum of 8 required before proceeding.Closed weekends and public holidays. Group tours for 20 or more people can be arranged by appointment.
