Newman Park, Traralgon

Within walking distance of the Latrobe Visitor Information Centre, Newman Park appeals to all ages.  There is a large playground with slides, swings, climbing walls, sandpit, balancing apparatus, modern adventure playground and disabled equipment.  Another attraction of the park is the miniature steam and diesel trains which operates in the park on the 4^th Sunday of every month (weather permitting) and makes for a great family day.  Electric BBQ’s, park benches, toilets and ample parking.

 Victory Park, Traralgon

Adjoining Newman Park, take a walk through the park and follow the path and cross the footbridge into Victory Park.  Take a w alk along the Traralgon Creek or admire the marble sculpture Lars Compitalis, band rotunda, Traralgon RSL pine tree, the mountain ash tree stump and the lovely gardens.

 Morwell Centenary Rose Garden

Gravel paths lead through a picturesque arrangement of garden structures which is enhanced with 3,000 bushes flourishing in four acres of parkland.  There are over 250 varieties or roses planted in 100 beds displaying individual colours.  Experience the delicate aroma of these blooms and enjoy their massed display of colour.  Best viewing is from November to April and a Celebration of Roses festival is held annually in February.  Open all year.  Free entry.

 Morwell Community Playground

Built in 1998 by the local community this adventure playground resembles a castle.  It is a maze of obstacle courses and balance apparatus.  Swings, monkey bars, slides, sand pit and a swinging bridge complete the complex which is built up and edged with wood sleepers.  There is a BBQ are with park benches which make it the perfect family outing.

 Apex Park, Moe

Featuring an extensive adventure playground, slides, swings, electric BBQ facilities, toilets and is securely fenced.  A grass area provides youngsters room to run and set up ball games.  Ample car parking makes it easily accessible.
