Mt Baw Baw
Nestled on the southern tip of the Great Dividing Range, Mt Baw Baw offers a unique snow holiday experience for the whole family, with a choice of down hill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, snow tubing and snow play. So why not stay awhile, in the wide selection of accommodation lodges and apartments.
Mt Baw Baw is the closest downhill ski resort to Melbourne (just two and a half hours drive) Visitors can travel via the Princes Highway turning off before Drouin. Alternatively drive along the Warburton Highway and turn off at Yarra Junction continuing through Poweltown, which joins the main road at Noojee.
At Mt Baw Baw you dont have to ski or snowboard to enjoy the snow. So why not give it a go, all the family can participate in days of fun, snow filled activities.
Mt St Gwinear
Mt St Gwinear offers great cross country skiing on 15km of gentle trails, ideal for the beginner or the intermediate skier and tobogganing on the slopes at the carpark. Toboggan hire is available at Erica and at the Gwinear carpark on weekends or when there is sufficient snow. The trails leading from the summit provide glorious views of the Baw Baw Plateau.
Mt St Gwinear has only a minimal entry fee and no trail fees are payable. On snow facilities include a Parks Victoria site office, ski patrol shed and heated visitor centre and toilets.
